Do I need a specific TV?
Nope — this will work with the majority of HTPC’s (Home Theater PC’s) — or any PC, actually.
So, this is just a glorified remote control?
Yes, if the iPhone is just a glorified rotary phone 
All kidding aside, our aim is to provide you the controls based on whats on your TV and what your intent is. And you’ll be able to watch the media on your device if you choose to.
Will you support Google TV?

I saw that I can take my remote with me and still watch the movie? Say what?
Yup! If you’re away from home, or even just on the porcelain throne, you’ll be able to browse and play your media on the device. We’ll stream the media directly from your home theater PC to your device. For the technical audience, we transcode the media into H.264 and then split it up into 8 second chunks. Then we continuously update the .m3u8 index file referring to the new chunks as they arrive. All this is done in less than a second to allow for a very seamless experience and instant-on streaming.
Will I be able to change the interface with themes?
Glad you asked. We are making the interface themeable, and should offer two themes from the start (one for iPad, one for iPhone). Over time, we will add more themes internally as well as from the community.
Can I create my own themes?
Absolutely — and we’re making it easy too. All you’ll only need is notepad. The interface is written in javascript and the server sends out information using JSON. We’ll have a page up shortly that shows how fun and easy it is to create your own themes — and share them back with the community.
Will I need to re-download software to use new themes?
Nope! We’ve built it so only changes to the core software will need updating. Themes can be changed and added on the fly.
